Please add your comment below to indicate your desire to see Gallien Krueger produce guitar amplifiers again, particularly if it's based on the 250ML/RL series
I own the 250 ML as well, great little amp, and am trying to revive a 206 MLE with a blown power supply. I love the convienence and power these amps have. I have just recently acquired the 250 ML and am still learning this amp, been familiar with them since the late 80's, wow just seems like yesterday. At that time a friend owned one, I could not afford one back then. Bring them back
I own one as well and wish GK would update these lovely little beasts! Still surprised no one has come close to producing a similar amp in over 20 years. (The ZT amps don't count!)
Probably the best condition and most complete I have found one. I owned one in the past and got rid of it, and have been looking for a good one ever since. This one popped up on CL yesterday right near my house and I grabbed it. Price was on the high end ($400) but based on condition, foot-switch, cable and case, I went ahead and got it. Running it through a 2x12 with Greenbacks, turned off the internal speakers. Sounds awesome. Fun little amp.
The GK 250ml S1 was my first guitar amp back in the early 90's. I have since lost it and I am looking to replace it for my sons first amp. They should most definitely Reissue the amp!
Bring back ml250 & mle206!!!!! Please. I saw some videos on YouTube a few years ago they had a sweet prototype of a ml250 it was so sweet! Never got it off the ground though? Please bring em' back guys at gk
I have a 250ML that I bought new in 1988; because a Marshall 30th Anniversary Head is my every-day driver, the G-K 250ML sat in air-conditioned storage (my closet) for over fourteen years, merely in need of a minor repair. (A dislodged capacitor needed to be soldered back into place). Recently, however, my Marshall experienced a junk Shuguang quazi-Mullard EL34 tube shorting and thus taking-out the 5-volt power supply rectifier/regulator circuit. And, as a temporary solution, I paid a little money to have the 250ML repair completed: Man, oh, man! am I rocking again. I would love to see the younger generation get to experience the marvel of this mighty-mite amplifier that is capable of driving a Marshall 2 X 4 x 12 (full-stack) to wonderful effect. Here, here! Bring back the mighty G-K 250ML or a reasonable variation thereof.
GK250ML, would still rule. Please bring them back at least as they were or with some "outside" trimpots for the changes you had to open it up to do. I´ll for sure would like to get my hands on a new old stock \m/
Bought my first 250ML in 1987 from the House of Guitars in Rochester, NY. Would like to see them finally bring the series III out! It is the only amp that gets the exact tone I like.
GK250ML was the GREATEST little amp around,it was awesome. Would love to see this brought back just how it was. Amazing sound ,that people just couldn't believe, when they looked at the size
I remember these. They are still around used, but are completely beat to crap for some reason. If they were made again I would definitely by one. What's better than a tiny practice amp that doubles as a full blown head? One of a kind.
I had one back in 1987 till 1995 when i mistakenly decided to sell it. I would definitely appreciate GK reviving that amp. I would say it was the best combo amp I ever had, went from bedroom practicing to garage rehearsal to studio recording to live venues with that one small loud well built monster. Out powered some 4x12 tube amp stacks I was up against back in my hair metal days!
Now is the time!!!! Reissue/update/revamp, what ever you wanna call it. My $.02, don't try to make it programmable with effects. Just make the 250ml/rl. If you do any "updates", beef up the clean channel, 2-XLR outs and stereo effects return. I currently have both series of the ML and absolutely be willing to buy a new version.
I have been scouring the internet for a decent deal on one of these. I am specifically looking for the 206ML/E but can't find a one for sale. However, I did find on GK's official website, they stated that the ML series of amps were instant best seller's. I can't understand why they wouldn't reissue a product if it was such a huge hit to begin with. Yes, I will definitely purchase one of these amps....but I'd much rather purchase a new reissue. C'mon Mr. Gallien-Krueger and Mr. Krueger! Get up and start making these again! We are waiting!
I have owned at least 10 different GK amps in my career and at least half were the 250ML. That amp is WAY ahead of it's time. I think GK should start producing guitar amps again. Look what they did 30 yrs. ago. They were make a big impact on today's guitar amplifiers.
I would love to see an updated version of this with adjustable gain, comp, chorus and echo that can be dialed in to get the tone of the original but also get other tones as well.
BRING IT BACK !

ReplyDeleteGallien Krueger needs to either bring this amp back or find a way to model it and make it available in units like the Fractal!!
